Hi, I'm Maria Bourne and I qualified as a Nail Technician and Beautician in 2008 and BOURNE BEAUTY commenced trading in April 2016.

My business started in a small room inside a hairdressers in Chesterfield Town Centre one day a week. 

In 2016 I quit my full time job to pursue a career in nails and beauty.   In October 2017 I made the decision to leave the salon room and I had a log cabin constructed at the rear of my garden which I opened up as a salon in December 2017.

I am a fully qualified and hold Level 3 Qualifications in Nail Technology, Beauty Therapy and Make-Up Artistry.

I offer a bespoke 1:2:1 service for all of my Client's meaning that all appointments are comfortable, professional and private. 

​

My business has gone from strength to strength and I am now a qualified Educator and Assessor.

I hold a Level 3 Award In Education and Training, and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

I now offer ABT Accredited in person 1:2:1 Training and Education in Nails and Beauty as well as online Nail Art Workshops and courses.

​

I have entered numerous Nail Art Competitions making me a multi award winning international Nail Artist. 

My biggest achievement to date is being placed 21st in the UK for The Best Nail Salon 2024.
